About me
Welcome! My name is Georgina, I am a yoga teacher from Northampton, recently relocating to Derbyshire following redundancy from my full time prep school swim teaching role.
I live with my family, dogs, cats, chickens and tortoise! I love travelling, long forest walks, swimming and yoga!
I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years, using the practice to aid and compliment sports recovery, promote emotional and mental wellbeing, and most importantly time used to develop my understanding of the historic and spiritual philosophy of yoga itself.
Taking my 200hrs Yoga teacher training at Soo Yoga, Northampton in 2023, I threw myself into teaching in my local area. Using my knowledge and experience sharing the foundations of yoga within my local community.
Upon qualification, the real learning begins… using funding from my weekly village hall classes, I began my 300hrs advanced teacher training with renowned yoga training centre ‘The Shala, London’. Since 2023 I have been committed to deepening my personal learning, gaining as much experience teaching all abilities, in as many disciplines as possible. Currently 195 hrs into my advanced teacher training, qualifying in; Pranayama, Yoga Nidra level 1 and 2, Chair Yoga, Assists and Adjusts and Advanced Core teaching skills.
I particularly enjoy teaching deep guided meditation and how its regular practice can have profound benefits within our daily lives, fundamentally improving ones outlook on life and its experiences.
I currently teach for Hotpod Yoga Northampton and Coventry, my private home studio, yoga retreats and large groups of festival goers at Shambala over August bank holiday each year.
